Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a coverage professional to support the Lead Specialist in SWR 2 during maternity leave, assisting in applied research, technology translation and deployment in emerging technology domains.

You will work on decarbonisation and carbon management, help evaluate R&D proposals, manage ongoing projects to meet objectives, and contribute to roadmaps and partnerships for funding initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering; practical knowledge in decarbonisation, carbon capture, storage & utilisation.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a passion for building technical expertise.
• Analytical and systematic thinking; able to work independently and as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for the Lead Specialist in SWR 2 during maternity/shared parental leave.

[What the role is]

The incumbent will provide coverage for the Lead Specialist in SWR 2 during her maternity/shared parental leave, supporting applied research, technology translation and deployment in emerging and cross-cutting technology domains.

[What you will be working on]

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the SWR 2 team in keeping abreast of global technological trends and developing technical expertise in decarbonisation and carbon management.
• Assist in the initiation and technical evaluation of R&D projects and proposals.
• Support the management of ongoing R&D projects to ensure they meet objectives, deliverables and timelines.
• Assist in the development and deployment of technologies in decarbonisation, carbon capture, and resource recovery.
• Support the structuring of initiatives that strengthen the research-to-deployment pathway.
• Assist in quantifying R&D outcomes through ROI, CBA and sustainability impact metrics.
• Support the management of key partnerships with international organisations and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of technology roadmaps and strategic planning for funding initiatives

[What we are looking for]

• Degree in Engineering - At least 2 years' relevant experience, practical knowledge and/or expertise in decarbonisation / carbon removal / carbon capture, storage & utilisation
