Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking a motivated engineer to cover SWR 2 during maternity/shared parental leave. You will support applied research, technology translation and deployment in decarbonisation and carbon management, aligning with national decarbonisation objectives.

You will assist in initiating and evaluating R&D projects, managing ongoing programs to meet milestones, and contributing to the development of technology roadmaps and partnerships with international

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with practical knowledge in decarbonisation / carbon removal / carbon capture, storage & utilisation.
• 2+ years’ relevant experience in decarbonisation or related fields.
• Strong writing, communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support SWR 2 team in tracking global tech trends and decarbonisation knowledge.
• Assist initiation and technical evaluation of R&D projects and proposals.
• Support management of ongoing R&D projects to meet objectives, deliverables and timelines.
• Assist in the development and deployment of technologies in decarbonisation, carbon capture, and resource recovery.
• Support the structuring of initiatives that strengthen the research-to-deployment pathway.
• Assist in quantifying R&D outcomes through ROI, CBA and sustainability impact metrics.
• Support the management of key partnerships with international organisations and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of technology roadmaps and strategic planning for funding initiatives

[What the role is]

The incumbent will provide coverage for the Lead Specialist in SWR 2 during her maternity/shared parental leave, supporting applied research, technology translation and deployment in emerging and cross-cutting technology domains.

[What you will be working on]

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the SWR 2 team in keeping abreast of global technological trends and developing technical expertise in decarbonisation and carbon management.
• Assist in the initiation and technical evaluation of R&D projects and proposals.
• Support the management of ongoing R&D projects to ensure they meet objectives, deliverables and timelines.
• Assist in the development and deployment of technologies in decarbonisation, carbon capture, and resource recovery.
• Support the structuring of initiatives that strengthen the research-to-deployment pathway.
• Assist in quantifying R&D outcomes through ROI, CBA and sustainability impact metrics.

[What we are looking for]

• Degree in Engineering - At least 2 years’ relevant experience, practical knowledge and/or expertise in decarbonisation / carbon removal / carbon capture, storage & utilisation
