Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an experienced Day 2 Operations Tech Lead to join our Public Sector Data & AI practice in Singapore. You will lead a team of consultants responsible for ongoing operations and continuous improvement of enterprise data and AI platforms deployed on Red Hat OpenShift within a government data center environment.

You will serve as the primary technical authority for Day 2 operations across a multi-solution landscape, overseeing day-to-day service delivery while mentoring

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in technology operations, platform engineering, or technical consulting roles.
• Hands-on OpenShift experience including cluster management, deployment, patching, and Day 2 operations.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent OCP certification.
• Experience leading a team in a managed services or consulting context.
• Knowledge of IT service management practices (SRs, CRs, incidents, problems).
• Experience coordinating CVE vulnerability assessments and platform upgrades.
• Willingness to work in an access-restricted datacenter environment.
• Singapore Citizen due to security clearance requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Day 2 operations ensuring platform stability, performance, and SLA adherence.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for SRs, CRs, incidents and problems.
• Oversee CVE patches and platform upgrades in line with security policies.
• Establish runbooks, playbooks, and SOPs for managed solutions.
• Drive remediation of technical debt and operational risks.
• Oversee user onboarding/offboarding across platforms and IAM compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Day 2 operations team.
• Coordinate with partners to plan upgrade roadmaps and manage risks.
• Act as Day 2 technical lead in client governance meetings and health reporting.
