The technician's mission is to ensure the continuous, reliable, and efficient operation of the data center, supporting the operations team in maintaining high availability and minimizing service disruptions.
The technician is an integral member of the data center operations team and is responsible for providing daily operational support, shift coverage, monitoring, incident response, preventive maintenance, and coordination with relevant technical teams.
2-4 years of relevant experience in Data Center.
Data Center Hardware Support: Strong hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting, break-fix activities, component replacement, and hardware upgrades, with exposure to enterprise servers, network equipment, and storage systems.
Data Center Inventory & Asset Management: Experience managing data center hardware inventory, including equipment receiving, asset tracking, stock verification, spare parts management, and equipment movement.
Documentation & Reporting: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for maintaining hardware and asset records, inventory tracking, data reconciliation, and preparing basic operational reports.
Operational Support: Ability to work as part of a data center operations team, follow established procedures, perform tasks accurately, and provide effective shift handover and operational updates.
Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Good troubleshooting, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors.
