Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiarity with structured cabling standards.
• Experience with project coordination in data center environments.
• Experience with inventory control and remote hands coordination.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially with complex spreadsheets and shared documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to lead on-site operations.
• Self-starter who works effectively with minimal supervision.
• Broad technical understanding of data center hardware, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10%).

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site data center operations and ensure proper implementation of infrastructure projects, including server relocations and hardware installations
• Hands-on installation of servers, network and security equipment, as well as structured and rack-to-rack cabling
• Maintain and troubleshoot various hardware and physical network components
• On-site coordination with third-party vendors for the installation of racks, power, servers, network equipment, and cabling
• Ensure all cabling and infrastructure installations follow standards
• Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers and shipping companies for both domestic and international shipments
• Document, improve, and maintain standard operating procedures
• Initiate and manage RMAs with equipment vendors
• Provide after-hours on-call support for emergencies and outages as part of a rotation with other engineers
