Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Data Protection Officer to oversee compliance with PDPA and related privacy regulations. You will establish policies, monitor regulatory requirements, and guide internal teams on privacy risks and controls.

The role includes conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments, managing data breach responses, reviewing vendor contracts, maintaining processing records, and delivering awareness trainings to strengthen governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in data privacy, data protection, compliance, or governance.
• Bachelor's degree in Law or related discipline; professional DPO qualification is an advantage.
• Good understanding of PDPA and applicable data protection legislation.
• Experience conducting DPIAs and implementing data protection policies and controls.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO), overseeing compliance.
• Establish, implement, and review data protection policies and frameworks.
• Monitor compliance with PDPA, GDPR where relevant, and internal policies.
• Conduct and assess Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to identify privacy risks.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on data protection requirements.
• Manage personal data breach incidents, including investigations and regulatory notifications.
• Serve as the key contact for regulatory authorities on data protection matters.
• Develop and conduct data protection awareness initiatives and training sessions.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of processing activities.
• Strengthen data protection governance by integrating controls into operations.
• Review contracts with vendors to ensure data protection safeguards.
