Job summary

Utrust Strategy Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a hands-on Data Protection Officer with IT and website development experience to oversee PDPA compliance and data protection practices.

The role involves supporting security, maintenance and development of our websites and digital systems, balancing regulatory requirements with practical business processes, and training staff on PDPA awareness.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity or related field.
• 2-4 years in IT, website development, data protection, cybersecurity or compliance.
• Practical knowledge of Singapore’s PDPA and data-protection principles.
• Experience developing or maintaining corporate websites.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript or PHP would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the organisation’s designated Data Protection Officer.
• Develop, implement and maintain data-protection policies and internal controls.
• Ensure PDPA-compliant data handling across processes.
• Maintain an inventory of personal data across the organisation.
• Review processes and websites to identify data-protection risks.
• Conduct data-protection impact assessments and compliance reviews.
• Update privacy policies, consent clauses, notices and data-retention policies.
• Handle access, correction, consent withdrawal and deletion requests.
