Job summary

PwC Singapore is seeking a Manager in the Data Protection Office to strengthen governance and promote a positive data culture. You will implement global policies locally, oversee privacy compliance reviews, investigate incidents and advise on remedial actions, while coordinating with Legal and Risk teams.

You will also develop training materials, lead reporting, and guide junior staff, contributing to ongoing data protection improvements across the firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of working experience in a risk-related role, with 2+ years in data privacy, data protection and/or data governance
• Familiarity with AI data governance is favourable but not mandatory
• Certifications like CIPP, CIPE, CIPM or CAIGP are advantageous but not mandatory
• Experience coaching and guiding junior team members is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing global policies and developing local policies and guidance in data protection and privacy
• Conduct reviews to ensure privacy and data protection compliance and address issues
• Investigate data incidents and privacy matters, advise on remedial actions and report as needed
• Review data protection controls in technology risk assessments for firm solutions
• Support legal and risk management processes around privacy and data protection, including contract negotiations
• Develop training material and deliver training on data protection and privacy
• Assist with internal and external reporting
• Lead ad-hoc projects
