Job summary

MAS seeks a Data Governance Officer to support the enterprise data catalogue and governance initiatives. You will collaborate with business, technology and policy stakeholders to improve data discoverability, accountability and responsible data use across MAS.

You will help develop governance processes, oversee data quality and classification, and provide guidance on Whole-of-Government policies. This role is a 1-year contract with a focus on governance excellence.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in data management or related field.
• Experience in data governance or data management.
• Familiarity with data governance concepts.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of MAS' enterprise data catalogue and related data governance initiatives.
• Develop and operationalise data governance processes, standards and controls.
• Provide advisory on Whole-of-Government data governance requirements.
• Facilitate the adoption of data governance practices across MAS.
• Review data-related risks and governance submissions and address gaps.
• Develop guidance materials, communications and training on data governance.
