Job summary

Institute of Technical Education (ITE) invites applications for an IT Data Governance Officer to support data governance, compliance and risk management. You will work with the CDO, Business Owners and Data Owners to strengthen governance practices and promote responsible data management across ITE.

You will assist in monitoring Whole-of-Government policies and standards, perform value-risk assessments, and help maintain documentation for audits and governance reviews within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Academic or professional credentials in IT/CS or related field.
• Data management or governance certifications (CDMP/DCAM/CISA or equivalent).
• 2–5 years in governance, risk, compliance, audit, or data management.
• Knowledge of data classification and data lifecycle concepts.
• Familiarity with IM8 framework and WOG policies in Singapore public sector.

Responsibilities

• Support CDO in data governance and compliance matters relating to IM8 data domain and WOG policies.
• Assist in identifying and communicating Data Owners and Business Owners for key data domains and systems.
• Support value-risk assessment processes and develop learning materials for teams.
• Review Line 1 value-risk assessments and assist with escalations requiring Line 2 guidance.
• Maintain records of governance decisions, issues, escalations and audit evidence.
