Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead data governance initiatives and Whole-of-Government compliance across agencies. You will work with the Chief Data Officer to drive governance standards, manage data-sharing requests and oversee departmental budgets and records.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, analytical ability, and independent work style, with responsibility for coordination of management committees and IT Disaster Recovery

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data governance and IT governance within a government/admin environment.
• Ability to manage budgets, records and compliance obligations.
• Experience supporting management committees or cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with good judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Independent worker with ability to build cross-department relationships.

Responsibilities

• Partner the SP Chief Data Officer to drive data governance and Whole-of-Government compliance.
• Oversee inter-agency data-sharing requests and engage stakeholders for timely review and approval.
• Lead development and improvement of data governance standards, templates and guidance.
• Manage departmental budgets, records and information governance with proper controls.
• Lead secretariat and coordination support for management meetings and IT Disaster Recovery activities.
• Identify and implement digitalisation and process improvements using productivity tools.
