Job summary

Singapore Land Authority seeks a senior data governance leader to oversee enterprise-wide data policies, frameworks and practices. You will drive governance priorities, coordinate with IT, cybersecurity, legal and audit teams and embed controls across ICT systems and projects.

The role requires leading the data governance team, safeguarding data as a strategic asset, and building capabilities in data literacy and security across SLA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data or Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading data governance or cross-functional initiatives is preferred.
• Knowledge of data stewardship, data quality, classification, sharing, access controls and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data governance team, set priorities and oversee the delivery of the data governance workplan and initiatives.
• Develop, implement and monitor policies, standards and processes covering the data lifecycle.
• Translate government data management and security requirements into practical organisational controls and operating practices.
• Collaborate with business units, data owners, IT, cybersecurity, legal and audit to embed data governance into ICT systems and processes.
• Oversee the management of data incidents, including response coordination and remediation.
• Plan capability-building and outreach to strengthen data literacy and security awareness across SLA.
