Job summary

Changi Airport Group (CAG) is expanding its People Data capabilities by building a scalable data middle layer within Microsoft Fabric. The Data Engineer will design robust pipelines, integrate SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow and Cornerstone platforms, and enable self-service analytics for HR stakeholders.

You will ensure data governance, security, and PDPA compliance while partnering with the People Data Architect to deliver semantic models and AI-ready datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in information systems, computer science, or data engineering.
• 4–8 years of data engineering experience with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Fabric data stacks.
• Proficiency in Python (PySpark) and T-SQL for data manipulation and modeling.
• Ability to communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and manage changing requirements.
• Experience integrating HR systems via APIs, flat files, SFTP, or connectors.
• Strong data privacy and security practices for confidential HR data.

Responsibilities

• Engineer the People Data Middle Layer using Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse to centralize HR data sources.
• Integrate core HR platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Cornerstone OnDemand) via APIs and alternative ingestion methods.
• Model complex HR data mappings and build semantic models to bridge data gaps.
• Collaborate with HR stakeholders in an agile environment to refine requirements and deliverables.
• Implement data governance with lineage, metadata, and quality checks within Fabric.
• Create semantic layers and data marts feeding Power BI for self-service analytics.
• Enforce PDPA compliance and strict access controls for sensitive data.
