Job summary

CYGNIFY PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Data Centre Critical Infrastructure Engineer to support operations and maintenance of critical facilities across data centres and office environments.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
  • 0-3 years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance, preferably within a data centre or critical infrastructure environment.
  • Diploma graduates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.
  • Good hands-on knowledge of critical facilities systems and building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of critical infrastructure systems, including generators, UPS, DC rectifier systems, STS, fire protection systems, HT/LT electrical systems, ACMV, and building management systems.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance works are carried out according to planned schedules and service standards.
  • Monitor and maintain data centre facilities to ensure high availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage physical and electronic security systems such as card access, CCTV surveillance, and visitor tracking.
  • Support customer-related work orders and ensure delivery within committed service timelines.
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate tenders, and support project execution for infrastructure upgrades and expansion works.
  • Maintain accurate records, maintenance logs, and update M&E, building, and schematic drawings.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards or unsafe conditions, and implement corrective actions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support lease management activities, including coordination with landlords, tenants, and internal stakeholders where required.
  • Liaise with internal teams, external vendors, contractors, and relevant authorities on facility-related matters.
  • Carry out risk assessments and support risk mitigation measures across facility operations.
  • Participate in 24/7 standby duties and respond to incidents, faults, and operational issues as required.
  • Support any other infrastructure and facility-related duties assigned by management

Role: Data Centre Critical Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Singapore

We are partnering with a leading organisation to hire a Data Centre Critical Infrastructure Engineer to support the operations and maintenance of critical facilities systems across data centres and office environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of key infrastructure systems while supporting operational readiness and business requirements.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications, Facilities Management, or a related discipline
  • 0-3 years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance, preferably within a data centre or critical infrastructure environment
  • Diploma graduates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered
  • Good hands-on knowledge of critical facilities systems and building maintenance
  • Exposure to data centre operations, electrical systems, ACMV, fire protection, or building management systems is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of networking, broadband access, or structured cabling will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project preferred
  • Experience in vendor, contractor, or service provider coordination would be beneficialStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a mission-critical environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels
