Job summary

SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks a hands-on Data Centre and IT Infrastructure Operator to monitor power, cooling, and IT performance at Serangoon. The role includes basic troubleshooting, system administration, and supporting backups, disaster recovery, and incidents.

You will manage access controls, CCTV monitoring, and ensure compliance with security SOPs while coordinating with vendors and internal teams for changes and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in data centre/infrastructure operations or IT operations.
• Basic knowledge of data centre infrastructure and IT systems monitoring and troubleshooting.

Job description

Working hours: Mon-Fri, Office Hours

Working location: Serangoon

Job Type: Full-Time Contract (Renewable basis)

Salary: UP to $4500 + AL, Birthday Leave, Medical Benefits, AWS!

Monitor and maintain data centre and IT infrastructure, including power, cooling, fire suppression systems, and IT systems performance, with regular environmental checks.

Perform basic troubleshooting, system administration, and support backup, disaster recovery, and incident management activities.

Manage access control systems, CCTV monitoring, user access, visitor handling, and ensure compliance with physical and IT security policies.

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for facility issues, equipment installation, decommissioning, and change management activities.

Maintain proper cable management, facility organisation, cleanliness, and overall operational readiness.

Keep accurate documentation and records, including infrastructure and facility logs, asset tracking, operational reports, and maintenance records.

Requirements

• Diploma in Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 4 year of relevant working experience in either physical data centre / infrastructure operations (power, cooling, facilities) or IT operations / systems monitoring and support.
• Basic knowledge of data centre infrastructure and/or IT systems monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of incident, change, and service request processes, with the ability to follow SOPs and escalation procedures.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation, communication, and coordination skills, and able to work with vendors and internal stakeholders.
