Job summary

DAYONE DATA CENTERS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee a team of shift technicians and ensure high standards of data centre operations.

You will manage leadership, shift handovers, safety, and incident response while coordinating with other departments to resolve operational challenges. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT and a minimum of 2 years in data centre operations, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills for a 24/7

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data centre operations or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical proficiency in data centre systems and operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of shift technicians, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
• Oversee data centre operations during the shift to ensure smooth and efficient performance.
• Monitor critical services and building systems and address issues promptly.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve operational challenges.
• Prepare detailed shift handover reports and communicate them before shift end.
• Conduct shift handover meetings to brief incoming shift on status and ongoing issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety drills and training for the shift team.
• Provide technical assistance and support to the shift team as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the shift.
• Coordinate with the technical support team for complex problems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
