Job summary

Rolls-Royce Solutions Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Design Engineer (internal title: Application Engineer) to provide mechanical and electrical solution engineering for major APAC data center projects.

This is a hands-on role spanning power systems, control, and automation, with duties from system integration to testing and commissioning. You will collaborate with sales, review tender documents, define equipment scope, and support procurement and site delivery.

Qualifications

University/college studies in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering.
5+ years in the diesel engine/generator industry with track record of delivered projects.
Deep expertise in electrical or mechanical genset systems; cross-disciplinary knowledge is a plus.
Proficiency in CAD tools and technical documentation.
Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Define and develop electrical and mechanical system requirements for Walk-in genset enclosures.
Deliver end-to-end design solutions with electrical/automation and mechanical designs.
Review/provide technical documentation and ensure compliance with specs.
Coordinate with suppliers and manage scope of supply for equipment.
Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.
Support procurement and drive continuous improvement.
