What the role is:

Join MOM’s Data Lab as a Data Analyst where you will serve as subject matter expert on MOM’s data assets and drive evidence-based policy. The role is expected to transform complex data into actionable insights that shape Singapore’s policies and programmes.

What you will be working on:

• Process and transform large, complex datasets through cleaning, fusion, and structuring activities
• Partner with MOM departments and government agencies to deliver impactful dashboards, data visualisation, and data analytics projects
• Acquire new data sets to increase data product offering and maximise exploitation potential
• Oversee the secure and effective operation of the Data Lab
• In addition to supporting Data Lab users on the datasets and analysis methodologies, you will also work with other MOM Divisions on a range of data analytics projects.

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in any discipline
• Demonstrated experience handling large datasets with proficiency in data transformations and merging
• Advanced Python skills for data analysis and manipulation
• Strong SQL skills with hands‑on experience in relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with data virtualisation tools (e.g. Denodo, IBM Data Virtualization) and cloud‑based platforms (i.e. AWS, Databricks) is a plus
• Solid foundation in statistical analysis and data interpretationProven ability to translate business requirements into effective analytical solutions
