Job summary

Tyson Jay is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to protect enterprise IT environments. You will monitor security events, handle incidents, manage vulnerabilities and enforce access controls across on-premise and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities include investigations, escalation, containment and recovery, plus contributing to security reviews and compliance activities. After-hours support rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Practical exposure to security monitoring, vulnerability management, access controls, endpoint security or infrastructure security (≤140 chars).
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent; good troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and investigate unusual activities across enterprise systems, endpoints, networks and cloud environments.
• Support investigation and resolution of security incidents, including escalation, containment, recovery and follow-up actions.
• Perform vulnerability reviews and work with technical teams to address identified weaknesses.
• Administer identity, access and privileged-access controls following least-privilege principles.
• Support endpoint, network and infrastructure security controls including monitoring, endpoints, firewalls and secure remote access.
• Maintain system security standards, hardening controls and other operational security configurations.
• Support security reviews, audits, compliance activities and preparation of relevant operational documentation.
• Participate in an after-hours support rotation for critical security incidents and escalations.

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day protection of enterprise IT environments. The role covers security monitoring, incident handling, vulnerability management, access controls and infrastructure security within a managed services environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and investigate unusual activities across enterprise systems, endpoints, networks and cloud environments.
• Support the investigation and resolution of security incidents, including escalation, containment, recovery and follow-up actions.
• Perform vulnerability reviews and work with technical teams to prioritise and address identified security weaknesses.
• Administer identity, access and privileged-access controls in accordance with least-privilege principles.
• Support endpoint, network and infrastructure security controls including security monitoring, endpoint protection, firewalls and secure remote access.
• Maintain system security standards, hardening controls and other operational security configurations across the environment.
• Support security reviews, audits, compliance activities and the preparation of relevant operational documentation.
• Participate in an after-hours support rotation for critical security incidents and work closely with infrastructure and operations teams during escalations.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, security operations, infrastructure support or system administration.
• Practical exposure to areas such as security monitoring, vulnerability management, access controls, endpoint security or infrastructure security.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent, with good troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Public Holidays.

The role includes participation in an after-hours support rotation for critical incidents.
