Job summary

Exeo Global Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a motivated hardware field engineer with hands-on knowledge of x86 enterprise servers to join our technical bench. The role focuses on on-site support, diagnostic testing, and rapid repair of hardware, OS, and virtualization in dynamic enterprise environments.

You will provide 24x7 field support under SLA, participate in post-sales project implementations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high service quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in similar hardware field role.
• Diploma in IT or related discipline required.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Server+ preferred.
• Familiar with Windows Server, Linux/Unix and virtualization technologies.
• Strong communication and service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

The role

We are seeking for a motivated individual who has hardware technical knowledge on x86 infrastructure enterprise products to join our dynamic team in Singapore. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, customer service orientation, and effective communication skills to play a crucial role in providing technical support, diagnostic testing, repair/resolution of hardware, operating system, virtualization, and infrastructure in dynamic enterprise environments.

Key accountabilities

• Provide field support based on SLA (24x7)


• Perform standby duty based on rotation basis


• Provide post-sales project implementation, onsite support and coordination


• Provide break-fix support including, but not limited to, machine inspection, system checklist creation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and replacement of hardware level, troubleshooting of operating system, incident ownership and customer management


• Deliver high quality services and customer satisfactions to our clients


• Ensure good housekeeping of equipment residing at designated platform area and maintain the work area tidiness within the engineering area


• Provides timely update of activity list on a weekly basis


• Drive self-improvement and upkeep with the latest technologies and corporate changes on a continuous basis


• Able to work independently with minimal supervision when tasks are assigned


• Any other ad-hoc assigned by superior

Skills & experience

• Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in similar field


• Minimum Diploma holder in an IT related discipline


• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, or relevant certifications


• Candidates without certification, but possessing substantial x86 hardware experience, will be considered


• Well trained in x86 based systems field engineering, troubleshooting methodology, problem determination and remedial action plan


• Familiar with either Microsoft Windows Server, Linux/Unix, Virtualization solutions and IT infrastructure


• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.


• Contributes positively as a team player and align to business goals.


• Experience in independent hardware maintenance, services delivery
