Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) is seeking engineers to review Fab processes, manage PCN communications, and drive quality improvements. The role involves FMEA/Control Plan reviews, productivity initiatives, and handling fab abnormalities with customer coordination.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree with at least 2 years in wafer foundry or backend IC packaging, plus strong communication and negotiation skills; AIAG-VAD FMEA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wafer foundry or backend IC packaging process, integration or PCN.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• AIAG-VAD FMEA and control plan experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review Fab process/recipe change report and ensure changes address risk.
• Communicate with customers on PCN and fulfill requests.
• Review FMEA/Control Plan to meet SOP and AIAG standards.
• Lead or participate in productivity, daily job and quality improvements.
• Independently drive fab abnormal handling and customer handling, assisting in fault investigations.
• Support audits, cross-site activity, and coaching junior team members.

Job description

• Review Fab process/ recipe change report, ensure change risk has been addressed and review process follows internal defined procedure.
• Communicate with customer on PCN and ensure all customer requests are well fulfilled,
• Review FMEA / Control Plan and ensure the format fulfill internal SOP as well as AIAG standard.
• Lead or participate in project for productivity, daily job & work process improvement & quality system enhancement
• Independently drive fab abnormal handling, customer handling, such as assist in fault investigation and special requirement
• Other assignment by manager, such as : support 2nd/3rd parties audit, cross site activity, coach junior team member, etc. .
