Job summary

Biopharma Careers seeks a CMP Slurry Application Specialist to drive development and integration of CMP slurry in advanced semiconductor processes. You will collaborate with customers, R&D, and manufacturing teams to ensure performance and reliability across Cu, barrier, oxide, and tungsten nodes.

You will guide on-site evaluations, DOE studies, and data analysis to improve removal rates, defectivity, and cost of ownership, while feeding back to R&D for product enhancements.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• 5–10+ years of CMP process or slurry development/application experience in semiconductor environments.
• Familiarity with CMP consumables (slurry, pad, conditioner) and integration challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; hands-on metrology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal teams for slurry-related inquiries and projects.
• Support evaluation, qualification, and troubleshooting of CMP slurry products at customer sites.
• Conduct on-site process optimization, DOE, and data analysis to improve removal rate, defectivity, and cost-of-ownership metrics.
• Provide technical feedback to R&D for product improvements.
• Develop application documentation, technical reports, and presentations for stakeholders.

We're seeking a skilled and motivated CMP Slurry Application Specialist to support the development, qualification, and integration of CMP slurry in advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes. This role involves close collaboration with customer, R&D and manufacturing team to ensure the performance and reliability of slurry solutions across various nodes and applications (e.g., Cu, barrier, oxide, tungsten).

Your Role:

• Act as primary technical interface between customers and internal teams for slurry-related inquiries and projects
• Support the evaluation, qualification, and troubleshooting of CMP slurry products at customer site.
• Conduct on-site process optimization, DOE, and data analysis to improve performance metrics such as removal rate, defectivity, selectivity and cost-of-ownership etc.
• Provide detailed technical feedback to R&D for product improvement and new product defelopment.
• Develop application documentation, technical reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support failure analysis, root cause investigations, and technical issue resolution.
• Monitor industry trends and customer roadmaps to support slurry development aligned with market needs.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• 5-10+ years of experience in CMP process or slurry development/application in semiconductor
• Familiarty with various CMP consumables (slurry, pad, conditioner) and integration challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; hands-on experience with metrology tools (e.g., SEM, AFM, defect inspection, profilometry) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
