Peranakan Mansion in Singapore invites you to join as a Museum Ambassador and Assistant to deliver engaging tours, assist visitors, and support daily museum operations, creating memorable cultural experiences for diverse guests.

You will welcome guests, lead tours, run workshops and events, handle ticketing and merchandise, and collaborate with the team. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Interest in heritage, history, and local culture.
• Familiarity with Peranakan or Chinese culture is a plus but not required.
• Communicate clearly with diverse visitor groups to ensure understanding and enjoyment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage visitors to create a hospitable museum experience.
• Lead guided tours sharing Peranakan history, traditions, and stories after training.
• Set up and conduct workshops and events, including light cleaning after sessions.
• Manage visitor services such as dress-up and photography to enhance guest participation.
• Perform ticketing, cashier duties, merchandise sales, and basic housekeeping.
• Multitask across guest services and operational responsibilities to maintain smooth museum flow.
• Collaborate with team members to support a positive and efficient work environment.
• Adapt to work schedules including weekends, public holidays, peak periods, and extended hours as needed.
