Job summary

NEA National Environment Agency is seeking resourceful individuals to join the Mandai Operations Department, overseeing government cemeteries, crematoria, and columbaria. You will work at a Mandai crematorium, delivering after-death care with professionalism and empathy in a challenging environment.

You will operate cremation equipment, ensure accurate records, and coordinate with funeral directors and families to maintain dignified, efficient operations while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical experience in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of cremation equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Proficient in record-keeping systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong emotional resilience to handle sensitive environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills for bereaved families and funeral service professionals.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify necessary documents and authorisations before cremation and ash collection.
• Operate cremation equipment according to safety protocols and internal procedures.
• Handle human remains with respect and care during the cremation process.
• Maintain cremation and ash records in compliance with legal and internal procedures.
• Manage feedback from funeral services providers and next-of-kin.
• Coordinate with funeral directors and families for smooth crematorium operations.
• Respond promptly to equipment faults and coordinate rectification.
• Maintain crematorium facilities in a clean, respectful condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
