Job summary

Sembcorp Specialised Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an HSE Officer Assistant to support daily safety activities on site in Singapore. The role focuses on coordinating the HSE management system, conducting inspections, and facilitating training and drills.

The ideal candidate will hold relevant safety certificates, be familiar with incident management, and work collaboratively with the project team to ensure compliance with regulatory and company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the HSE Officer in the management and implementation of the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) management system.
• Conduct inspections to identify non-compliances and raise follow-up action reports.
• Coordinate and conduct HSE training programmes, campaigns, and emergency drills.
• Maintain records of HSE documentation (inspection reports, training records, incident investigation reports).
• Facilitate incident investigations with the project team.
• Work closely with project team and provide advice on HSE matters.
• Handle ad-hoc matters assigned by Management.

Purpose and Scope

Assist the HSE Officer in coordinating daily project safety activities, ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements and Sembcorp HSE requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the HSE Officer in the management and implementation of the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) management system
• Conduct inspections to identify any non-compliances in the worksite and raise reports on follow-up actions including monitoring the compliance of such actions
• Coordinate and conduct HSE training programmes, campaigns, emergency drills and other HSE related activities.
• Maintain records of HSE documentation (e.g., inspection reports, training records, incident investigation reports, etc.).
• Facilitate incident investigation with the project team
• Work closely with project team and provide advice on HSE matters
• Any other ad-hoc matters assigned by Management

Requirements

• WSQ Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health or Certificate in Safety Coordinator Training Course
• Relevant Safety & Health Certificates, including Lifting Supervisor, Confined Space Assessor, etc.
• Due to the sensitive nature of the job, only Singaporean candidates will be considered.
