The successful candidate will contribute to kitchen operations, support menu planning, and collaborate with diverse teams to ensure efficient service and consistent quality.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Cook in a catering or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation.
• Excellent understanding of HACCP principles and personal hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

About the role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join the culinary team at CATERING SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. This is a full-time position based at our Ang Mo Kio Town Centre location in the North-East Region. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals that delight our clients and guests. Your expertise and dedication will directly impact the success of our catering services and help us maintain our reputation for excellence in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate dishes according to standardised recipes and presentation guidelines
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
• Manage kitchen equipment and ensure proper maintenance and care of all tools and machinery
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal service
• Monitor food quality and taste, making adjustments as necessary to meet company standards

• Assist with menu planning and food costing under the direction of senior culinary staff

• Maintain accurate records of food inventory and report stock levels as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role within a professional catering or hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary best practices
• Excellent understanding of food safety regulations, including HACCP principles and personal hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality and consistency
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse kitchen teams

• Attention to detail with a commitment to presentation and portion control
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings and potentially weekends
• Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous
