Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Unix/Linux System Engineer/Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage a broad range of servers and storages across Solaris, Linux, and Windows platforms.

You will provide system administration and security support to customers, participate in 24x7 service operations, and lead projects to meet schedules while driving rapid problem resolution and escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing web/application servers in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Experience in Solaris 11/10, RedHat Linux 6/7/8, SUN/Oracle hardware.
• Willing to be on a 24x7 standby for service contracts on a rotating basis.
• Excellent diagnostics skills with quick problem resolution.
• Strong fundamentals in hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Hands-on with Splunk, NetGain, SCCM, BigFix, SolarWinds is advantageous.
• Cloud certifications AWS/Azure are advantageous.
• Knowledge of Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker & containers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer calls and incident tickets related to Unix servers/services faults, recording the fault through ITSM tool
• Assign with project implementation when required
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience managing web/application servers as a system engineer or administrator in a Unix/Linux background
• Experienced in Solaris 11/10, RedHat Linux 6/7/8, SUN/Oracle Hardware skills
• Willing to be on 24 x 7 stand-by for service contract and maintenance services on a rotating basis
• Excellent diagnostics skills and good ability to resolve problems quickly
• Strong technical competence in the fundamentals of troubleshooting hardware/software along
• Hands on experience with Industry standard operational Tools like SPLUNK, NETGAIN, SCCM, BIGFIX, SOLARWINDS will be an added advantage
• Cloud Certifications AWS/Azure will be an added advantage
• Knowledgeable in Ansible, Kubernetes, Dockers & Containers will be an added advantage
