Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration or Logistics & Supply Chain or higher.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, contract administration, or related field.
  • Sound knowledge of import/export contract management, contract administration, and Letters of Credit.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and coordinate standard commodity import/export contracts, agreements, and amendments.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to facilitate timely contract reviews, approvals, and execution.
  • Ensure contract documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
  • Track contract milestones, obligations, and compliance requirements with timely follow-up.
  • Maintain contract records and reporting within contract management systems.

Job description

This role is posted on behalf of OM MATERIALS (S) PTE LTD with support from the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) under the JSIT WST initiative. Our member company is seeking a meticulous and motivated Contract Specialist to join the team In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and coordinating commodity import/export contracts, documentation, compliance tracking, Letters of Credit administration, and stakeholder collaboration to support efficient trading, shipping, and contractual operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and coordinate standard commodity import and export contracts, agreements, and amendments to support the Company’s trading and shipping activities;
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate timely contract reviews, approvals, and execution;
  • Ensure contract documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained;
  • Track key contract milestones, obligations, and compliance requirements, ensuring timely follow-up and action;
  • Maintain accurate contract records and reporting within contract management systems;
  • Support audits by providing relevant contract documentation and information as required;
  • Liaise with the Finance Department on the issuance and administration of Letters of Credit (LCs);
  • Contribute to the smooth and efficient management of the Company’s shipping and contractual processes;
  • Any other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma in Business Administration or Logistic & Supply Chain or higher;
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, contract administration, or a related field;
  • Sound knowledge of import and export contract management, contract administration, and Letter of Credit is preferred
  • Self-driven team player, strong interpersonal skills, analytical
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external counterparts.
