Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a safety-focused professional for a 1 year contract at our Lakeside site in Singapore. You will monitor day-to-day activities for safety compliance, conduct inspections, and implement the Safety and Health Management System across project sites.

The role requires a valid WSHO qualification and at least 3 years of relevant safety experience within engineering, construction or industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Must hold Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) qualification/certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant safety experience in engineering, construction or project environments.
• Candidates with supervisory/safety certifications such as Work at Height (WAH) or Confined Space have added advantage.
• Experience supporting construction, engineering or industrial project sites is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure safety compliance by employees, contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions and hazards.
• Implement and support the Safety and Health Management System at project sites.
• Coordinate and maintain records for site safety orientations, toolbox talks and inspections.
• Conduct, review and endorse Risk Assessments and ensure appropriate control measures.
• Monitor compliance with statutory, regulatory, client and company safety requirements.
• Identify safety violations and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace incidents and safety-related complaints and follow up actions.
• Assist in safety reports, records and statutory forms.
• Support in-house safety briefings, toolbox talks and safety training programmes.
• Work with contractors and project teams to improve safety practices and efficiency.
