Job summary

JCVL PTE. LTD. seeks a Site Safety Officer to oversee safety on construction sites in Singapore. You will monitor contractor safety performance, lead safety inspections, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to drive immediate corrective actions.

The role requires MOM WSHO registration, bizSAFE Level 2, and at least 3 years of WSHO practice with deep excavation experience. You will manage a team, conduct DfS reviews, and deliver monthly safety reports.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry Course (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
• Registered as Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM and have at least 3 years of practice.
• Familiar with Statutory codes and requirements for safety and health.
• Minimum 5 years of WSH experience in deep excavation works; preferably 3 years with developer/main contractor.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of site safety personnel.
• Certificate in DfS appreciation Course and lifting operations course.
• Lifting Operations Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Contractors' safety performance on site and highlight immediate actions to relevant parties.
• Follow up on safety matters related to DfS and WSH.
• Conduct safety inspections including photography of unsafe acts and notify main contractor.
• Issue field observation notices and respond to incidents to ensure emergency response.
• Conduct roving safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Provide daily safety inspection reports to the OIC.
• Lead monthly site safety inspections and submit reports to the Superintending Officer.
• Organize regular Safety Site Walks with client and stakeholders.
• Submit monthly reports on safety indicators and trends.
• Report accidents/incidents/near misses on site with detailed information.
• Conduct inspections for precast elements.
