Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited seeks an experienced Database and System Support professional to join a contract assignment serving the HKPF. You will manage production databases, install, configure and maintain systems, and support mission-critical hardware and software.

The role requires 4+ years post-qualification with at least 2 years in a similar capacity; strong English, problem solving, and documentation skills; Linux experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in supporting SNMP monitoring and management solution
• Knowledge and experience in supporting Help Desk Problem Tracking System
• Knowledge and experience in database administration, including installation, configuration and maintenance
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Knowledge of Linux and production environments is an advantage
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
• At least 4 years' post-qualification experience with minimum 2 years in relevant role

Responsibilities

• Manage and administrate production databases, including installation, configuration and maintenance
• Support the Force's mission-critical systems and related hardware and software
• Perform regular patching for the above systems during non-office hours
• Manage production incidents promptly to minimize service impact
• Handle admin tasks: documentation, equipment procurement, data center inventory, cabling, labelling, system health checking, hardware/software maintenance and bill payment
• Provide other services when required

Project Nature (T26) - To provide Database and System Support for the Force.

Duties

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF;
• - To manage and administrate production databases, including installation, configuration and maintenance;
• - To support the Force's mission-critical systems and related hardware and software;
• - To perform regular patching for the above systems during non-office hours;
• - Manage production incidents promptly and effectively to minimize service impact;
• - To handle administration works such as documentation, equipment procurement, data center inventory, cabling, labelling, system heath checking, hardware/software maintenance and bill payment;
• - To provide other services when required;

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in supporting SNMP monitoring and management solution;
• Knowledge and experience in supporting Help Desk Problem Tracking System;
