Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is hiring for a contract-based infrastructure role in Hong Kong, focusing on Windows/Linux server administration and automation. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Linux/ Windows server environments, scripting skills, AD experience, and security vetting.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux Server.
• Experience in programming or scripting (e.g. Shell script, Python or similar).
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. KVM, Docker).
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience in Microsoft Active Directory (AD), including AD re-structuring and object migration; is a plus.
• Security vetting is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF.
• Provide routine support to HKPF's desktop infrastructure including Windows and Linux servers and related hardware and software.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate system tasks, monitoring, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in Linux environments.
• Collaborate with development teams or vendors to deploy, configure and support applications on Linux servers.
• Monitor performance to reduce interruptions and server crashes.

Technical Skills

• At least 2 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF);
• At least 1 year's experience in Linux System Administration (LIN);
• At least 1 year's experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12);
• 1 year's experience in Remote Access Server (RAS) is an advantage;
• 1 year's experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT) is an advantage;
• 1 year's experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills

• At least 1 year's experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT);
• 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage.

- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;

- At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
