Gain City Group of Companies in Singapore is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to supervise a team of in-house QS professionals, study tender specifications, and identify technical and commercial risks.

The role involves preparing Bills of Quantities for tender submissions, liaising with clients and consultants, and overseeing contract administration, including variations, progress payments, and dispute resolution.

Formación

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services or related discipline.
• Training in Quantity Surveying is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/ACMV systems and equipment.
• Familiarity with Singapore contract administration and Security of Payment Act.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and manage a team of in-house Quantity Surveyors on tender and contract work.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities for tender submissions.
• Liaise with clients and consultants on tendering, quotations, and contract matters.
• Oversee contract administration: tenders, variations, progress payments, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of in-house Quantity Surveyors in studying tender specifications, drawings, and conditions of contract to identify technical and commercial risks

• Prepare Bills of Quantity (BQ) for tendering and quotation submissions

• Liaise with project clients and consultants on tendering and quotation matters

• Liaise with project teams, clients, and consultants on all contract administration matters, including:

  • Preparation and submission of tenders and quotations

  • Handling of variation orders (VOs)

  • Progress claims and payments

  • Interpretation of contract provisions and dispute resolution

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline

• Training in Quantity Surveying will be an advantage

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge and relevant experience in electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment

• Understanding of industry standards and codes of practice

• Familiarity with contract administration and common Conditions of Contract adopted in Singapore

• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and standards, including the Security of Payment Act

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment
