CITIWALL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Taipei, Taiwan, seeks a Construction Site Manager to oversee daily facade and curtain wall installation on site.

You will coordinate activities, supervise workers and subcontractors, monitor progress, ensure drawings and specs are followed, and uphold safety and quality standards. Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate or degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering or related.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant construction site experience, preferably in facade, curtain wall, aluminum, cladding or building envelope projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of construction site operations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Site Management & Supervision: Manage and supervise daily facade and curtain wall installation activities on site, coordinate daily work to meet the project programme.
• Facade & Curtain Wall Installation: Oversee installation of curtain wall systems, facade panels, aluminum systems and related components.
• Drawings & Technical Coordination: Review drawings, coordinate with engineers, raise RFIs, ensure latest drawings are used on site.
• Project Programme & Progress: Monitor progress, prepare site reports, identify risks, and assist in recovery plans.
• Quality Control & Inspection: Ensure works meet specifications, conduct inspections, document quality records.
• Safety & Site Compliance: Enforce safety requirements, conduct toolbox talks, ensure PPE usage.
• Materials & Logistics: Coordinate delivery and storage of facade materials; minimize wastage.
• Stakeholder & Contractor Coordination: Act as site contact for facade matters and coordinate with main contractor and consultants.

Job description

Based in Taiwan, Taipei

The Construction Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of facade and curtain wall installation works at the project site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, supervising workers and subcontractors, monitoring project progress, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

The role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations, excellent coordination skills and preferably hands-on experience in curtain wall, facade, cladding or building envelope works.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Management & SupervisionManage and supervise daily facade and curtain wall installation activities on site.Plan and coordinate daily work activities to ensure works progress according to the approved project programme.Supervise site workers, installers, subcontractors and specialist contractors.Allocate manpower, materials, equipment and resources according to project requirements.Monitor productivity and ensure works are completed within the required timeline.Identify site constraints and coordinate solutions promptly to avoid delays.
2. Facade & Curtain Wall InstallationOversee the installation of curtain wall systems, facade panels, aluminium systems and other building envelope components.Ensure installation works are carried out in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements, specifications and manufacturer requirements.Check setting-out, alignment, levels, dimensions, brackets, anchors and connections before and during installation.Coordinate interfaces between facade works and other trades, including structural, architectural, MEP and internal works.Identify installation issues and coordinate with the Project Manager, engineers and design team to resolve technical matters.
3. Drawings & Technical CoordinationReview and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and installation details.Coordinate with engineers and technical teams regarding discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.Raise RFIs and technical queries where required.Ensure the latest approved drawings and documents are being used on site.Coordinate site measurements and verification of existing conditions where necessary.
4. Project Programme & ProgressMonitor daily and weekly site progress against the approved programme.Prepare daily site reports, progress updates and manpower records.Highlight potential delays, access issues, material shortages and other risks to the Project Manager.Coordinate work sequencing with the main contractor and other trades.Assist the Project Manager in developing recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule.
5. Quality Control & InspectionEnsure facade installation works meet project specifications, approved drawings and quality requirements.Conduct regular inspections of completed and ongoing works.Coordinate inspections with consultants, main contractors and relevant authorities.Identify defects and ensure rectification works are completed promptly.Ensure proper documentation of inspections, testing and quality records.Monitor workmanship and ensure installation tolerances are maintained.
6. Safety & Site ComplianceEnsure all site activities comply with applicable Taiwan safety requirements and project safety procedures.Conduct toolbox meetings and site briefings where required.Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow approved safe work procedures.Identify potential hazards and take corrective action.Coordinate with the project's safety personnel and main contractor on site safety requirements.Stop unsafe work where necessary and escalation serious safety concerns immediately.
7. Materials & LogisticsCoordinate delivery, storage and movement of facade materials on site.Ensure materials are available according to the installation programme.Inspect delivered materials for quantity, damage and conformity.Coordinate lifting, access and installation arrangements with the main contractor.Minimise material wastage, damage and unnecessary site handling.
8. Stakeholder & Contractor CoordinationAct as the key site contact for facade-related matters.Coordinate closely with the main contractor, consultants, project management team and other subcontractors.Attend site meetings and coordination meetings where required.Communicate site requirements, progress and issues clearly to the Project Manager.Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
