Job summary

SCANPILE CONSTRUCTORS PTE. LTD. is hiring a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to lead safety at construction sites in Singapore.

You will implement policies, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with the WSH Act and project-specific requirements. The role requires MOM-registered WSHO qualifications, strong communication skills, and experience in the construction or bored piling sector. Qualifications

• Registered MOM WSHO with relevant qualifications.
• Experience in construction or bored piling preferred.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and safety requirements.
• Able to communicate effectively with workers, supervisors, subcontractors and clients.
• Willing to work at different project sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Workplace Safety and Health policies and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure all activities comply with WSH Act and project requirements.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings and inductions for workers.
• Prepare and review risk assessments, safe work procedures and method statements.
• Monitor high‑risk construction activities and PPE usage.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare safety reports and maintain safety records and permits.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors and workers on safety matters.
• Liaise with MOM, main contractors and clients as required.
• Conduct emergency drills and ensure proper emergency procedures.
• Monitor training certificates and arrange renewals when necessary.
• Attend project safety meetings and follow up on observations and actions.
• Stop unsafe work; promote strong safety culture and hazard reporting.
• Perform other safety‑related duties as assigned by management.
