Job summary

S. A E & C (S) PTE LTD is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee assigned projects in Singapore, ensuring administrative and operational success.

You will coordinate with main and sub-contractors, monitor progress against schedules, and manage claims, payments, and site documentation. The role requires a civil engineering degree and at least five years of local experience, with familiarity in LTA projects and high-rise construction.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Singapore.
• Experience with LTA projects/high-rise buildings.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth completion of assigned projects both administratively and operationally.
• Attend site meetings with main/sub-contractors and update the construction team.
• Ensure site work progresses according to the Main-Contractor schedule.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and payment certificates with office staff.
• Prepare Minutes of Meetings for joint meetings with contractors and site personnel.
• Advise on technical knowledge related to site works (e.g., reference lines, datum lines).
• Review shop drawings and ensure the team has latest set.
• Manage and review subcontractors’ performance and monthly reports.
• Prepare Method of Statement for specific works when necessary.
• Account for all materials and equipment delivered to site.
• Prepare and manage site tools list and worker time cards.
• Oversee sign-in/out lists for site tools and manage overtime approvals.

Job Description – Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• To be responsible for the smooth completion of the assigned project, in terms of both administrative and operational aspects
• To attend site meetings with the Main-Contractor and/or Sub-Contractor(s) whenever necessary with regards to any site issues, and to update our own construction team
• To make sure site work progress follows the Schedule given by the Main-Contractor
• To work closely with main-office staff to prepare monthly Progress Claims, Payment Certificates, or the like.
• Prepare Minutes of Meetings for all joint meetings held with Main-Contractors, Sub-Contractors, or site personnel.
• To advise both Main-Contractor and Sub-Contractor personnel on technical knowledge pertaining to site works (E.g.Reference lines, datum lines, etc).
• To study shop-drawings and make sure the project team has the latest set
• To manage and review Sub-Contractor(s) and their monthly performance.
• To prepare Method of Statement as and when necessary, for specific works.
• To manage and account for all materials & equipment delivered to site
• To prepare and manage worker Organizational Chart for both the Company’s workers and Supply Worker alike.
• To prepare and manage site Tools List. Any material or tools left on site premises must be accounted for at all times.
• To manage workers’ time cards. Must make sure workers, especially supply workers, do not work unnecessary overtime. Any overtime works must be first approved by the Managing Director before commencement.
• To prepare and manage the site tools sign-in/out list.
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the ManagingDirector.

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or similar course
• Has at least 5 years of experience in Singapore in the related field
• Has experience working for LTA projects /high-rise buildings
• Able to read and understand construction drawings
• Must have good interpersonal / social skills to explain, communicate, liaise, negotiate with the Managing Director, own construction team, main-contractors and/or subcontractors
