Job summary

S. A. ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Singapore. You will oversee project administration and field operations, coordinating with main contractors and site staff to ensure timely completion and compliance with contractual requirements.

The role requires a minimum civil engineering degree and at least 5 years of Singapore-based experience, including exposure to LTA projects or high-rise structures. Strong drawing-reading and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with management, contractors and site personnel.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Singapore projects, preferably LTA or high-rise.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth project completion, both administratively and operationally.
• Attend site meetings with main/sub-contractors and update the construction team.
• Monitor progress to align with contractor schedules and prepare monthly progress claims.
• Prepare and review method statements, material inventories, and site tools lists.
• Supervise subcontractors and manage worker time cards to avoid unnecessary overtime.

Job Description - Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• To be responsible for the smooth completion of the assigned project, in terms of both administrative and operational aspects
• To attend site meetings with the Main-Contractor and/or Sub-Contractor(s) whenever necessary with regards to any site issues, and to update our own construction team
• To make sure site work progress follows the Schedule given by the Main-Contractor
• To work closely with main-office staff to prepare monthly Progress Claims, Payment Certificates, or the like.
• Prepare Minutes of Meetings for all joint meetings held with Main-Contractors, Sub-Contractors, or site personnel.
• To advise both Main-Contractor and Sub-Contractor personnel on technical knowledge pertaining to site works (E.g. Reference lines, datum lines, etc).
• To study shop-drawings and make sure the project team has the latest set
• To manage and review Sub-Contractor(s) and their monthly performance.
• To prepare Method of Statement as and when necessary, for specific works.
• To manage and account for all materials & equipment delivered to site
• To prepare and manage worker Organizational Chart for both the Company's workers and Supply Worker alike.
• To prepare and manage site Tools List. Any material or tools left on site premises must be accounted for at all times.
• To manage workers' time cards. Must make sure workers, especially supply workers, do not work unnecessary overtime. Any overtime works must be first approved by the Managing Director before commencement.
• To prepare and manage the site tools sign-in/out list.
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Managing Director.

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or similar course
• Has at least 5 years of experience in Singapore in the related field
• Has experience working for LTA projects /high-rise buildings
• Able to read and understand construction drawings
• Must have good interpersonal / social skills to explain, communicate, liaise, negotiate with the Managing Director, own construction team, main-contractors and/or subcontractors
