Job summary

SM C2R CORPORATE PTE. LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage AR and project accounting for construction projects in Singapore. The role requires strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and experience with Xero.

The ideal candidate will handle monthly billings, revenue recognition, and project financial analyses, while coordinating with project managers to ensure timely, accurate reporting and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience with construction project accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly progress billings, tax invoices, credit notes, and milestone claims.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition and deferred revenue tracking across all invoices.
• Monitor aged AR reports daily and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain clear records of payment commitments and collection timelines.
• Perform bank reconciliations and match payments to receivables.
• Allocate payments across client invoices, projects, and retention ledgers.
• Track contract retention funds withheld by clients on active projects.
• Perform AR month-end closing activities and revenue schedule tie-outs.
• Oversee daily accounting operations for construction projects.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project accounting records using Xero.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Provide financial analyses to assist decision-making for projects.
• Prepare financial reports including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow for projects.
• Coordinate with project managers for accurate financial tracking.
• Assist with audits and compliance requirements.
• Support month-end and year-end close for projects.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
