Job summary

Renowned A1 Building Contractor is seeking an Assistant Contracts Manager to provide commercial and contractual support to project teams on main contracts and subcontractors. The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders to meet subcontract obligations and milestones, reviewing terms for compliance, and managing variations and related negotiations.

Candidate must hold a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent, with at least 10

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a main contractor, preferably within major infrastructure or rail projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, claims, variations and contract negotiation

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual support to the project team on matters relating to the main contract and subcontractors
• Coordinate with internal project stakeholders to ensure subcontract obligations, deliverables and key milestones are properly managed
• Review contractual requirements, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies and contractual obligations
• Manage variations, change control and related commercial negotiations throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, including the necessary supporting documentation, for assessment and certification
