Job summary

HPC BUILDERS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Contract Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead project cost control in Singapore. You will manage cost planning, variation orders, and claims, and coordinate with project teams and clients.

Requirements include a Degree or Diploma in Building, 5+ years in main-construction firms, proven leadership in negotiation, administration, and team management. You must be meticulous, analytical, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building or equivalent.
• 5+ years as Contract Manager / Senior QS in main-contracting firms.
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, administration, and leadership.
• Independent, meticulous, analytical with strong problem solving.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost comparisons.
• Obtain quotations, liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers, negotiate.
• Measure quantities and take-offs.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Construction Manager, client representatives and sub-contractors for progress and variation claims.
• Manage contractual issues between main contractor and client, and main contractor and sub-contractors.
• Ensure progressive claims are submitted promptly with accurate measurements.
• Lead QS team to prepare variation orders, claims, final accounts, settlements and sub-contractor payments.
• Perform other contract management duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost comparison.


• Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.


• Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off.


• Works closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Client / Client Representatives and Sub-Contractors to accurately arrive with progress claims and variation claims.


• Deals with contractual issues between main contractor and client, and those between main contractor and sub-contractors


• Ensures progressive claims are promptly put up to the client through accurate measurement of actual works accomplished


• Lead the QS team to prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments

Job Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Building or its equivalent


• 5 years and aboveexperience as Contract Manager / Senior QS in main-con companies


• Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & leadership of a team
