Job summary

CHINA STATE CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING CORPORATION LIMITED Singapore Branch seeks an experienced Contract Manager / Senior QS to lead contract administration on residential projects. You will coordinate with project teams, review contracts, and ensure accurate measurements and timely progress.

The role requires strong negotiation and leadership skills, and the ability to guide a QS team toward effective variation orders and final accounts while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Building or equivalent.
• 6–8+ years as Contract Manager or Senior QS in main-con companies.
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, administration and leadership.
• Able to work independently, meticulous, analytical, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost comparisons.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Measure quantities and take-offs.
• Coordinate with project team to prepare progress and variation claims.
• Handle contractual issues between main contractor, client and sub-contractors.
• Ensure timely progressive claims via accurate measurement.
• Lead the QS team for variation orders, claims and final accounts.
• Other contract management tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost comparison
• Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
• Works closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Client / Client Representatives and Sub-Contractors to accurately arrive with progress claims and variation claims.
• Deals with contractual issues between main contractor and client, and those between main contractor and sub-contractors
• Ensures progressive claims are promptly put up to the client through accurate measurement of actual works accomplished
• Lead the QS team to prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments

Job Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Building or its equivalent
• 6-8 years and aboveexperience as Contract Manager / Senior QS in main-con companies
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & leadership of a team
• Preferable experiences in Residential related projects
• Able to work independently, bemeticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
• 5 Days work week
