Job summary

The role involves attending client meetings, negotiating terms, and ensuring commercially and operationally feasible solutions while building long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Min 5 years in business development, sales or commercial roles in construction or related industry.
• Experience in tenders, quotations, project sales and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential construction projects.
• Research market trends, upcoming projects and potential clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with main contractors, subcontractors, developers, consultants and suppliers.
• Follow up on client enquiries, project leads, tenders and business opportunities.
• Review project requirements and coordinate with internal teams to prepare quotations, tenders and proposals.
• Assist in assessing project scope, pricing, commercial requirements and potential business risks.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Negotiate and discuss commercial terms, pricing and contractual requirements where authorised.
• Coordinate with operations, project and management teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible.
• Maintain records of leads, quotations, tenders, sales activities and client communications.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders and provide updates to management.
• Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to identify opportunities.
• Support contract negotiations, client onboarding and handover of secured projects.
• Maintain good customer relationships and seek repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Prepare regular business development reports and updates for management.
