Job summary

FORTIS STRUCTURE PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a proactive Commercial Executive with 3–5 years of experience in the local construction sector, preferably in structural steel, temporary works or civil projects. You will manage quantity take-off, cost estimation, progress claims and contract administration, coordinating with clients, main contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of working experience in Singapore construction industry.
• Experience in structural steel / steel strutting / temporary works / civil engineering is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of quantity measurement, progress claims, VO, subcontractor claims and construction contracts.
• Able to read and understand structural and engineering drawings.
• Proactive, quick-thinking and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-off, measurement, cost estimation and quotations based on drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and follow up on progress claims, payment certification, Variation Orders (VO) and final accounts.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations, claims and payment applications.

• Coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Identify commercial issues and proactively follow up to achieve timely resolution.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, resourceful and commercially minded Commercial Executive to join our growing team in Singapore. The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant working experience in Singapore's construction industry, preferably with exposure to structural steel, steel strutting, temporary works or civil/infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-off, measurement, cost estimation and quotations based on drawings and specifications.
