Job summary

GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS) is seeking a Quality Control inspector to ensure aircraft engine components meet specifications and maintain proper work clearance on the shop floor.

The role involves performing visual and dimensional inspections, preventing non-conforming parts from advancing, and supporting Manufacturing Engineers and Quality System Engineers with evaluations and audits. Strong documentation and English SOP reading abilities are required.

Qualifications

• QC experience in repair of aircraft engine components (must-have)
• Able to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs in English
• Strong teamwork and communication with engineers and shop floor

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of parts meet specification requirements
• Ensure proper work clearance, correctness and completeness
• Prevent non-conforming parts from proceeding to next workstation
• Provide support to Manufacturing Engineers and Quality System Engineers for evaluations, audits
• Collect data and feedback on quality of inspected parts to engineers

• Perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping tasks

Role Overview:

• Ensure quality of parts meet specification requirements
• Ensure proper work clearance, correctness and completeness
• Prevent non-conforming parts from proceeding to the next work station
• Provide support to Manufacturing Engineers and Quality System Engineers for evaluations, audits related activities
• Collect data, feedback on the quality of parts inspected to the Manufacturing Engineers and Quality System Engineers
• Perform visual & dimensional inspections, and set area management of the parts
• Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks

The Ideal Candidate:

QC experience in repair of aircraft engine components

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Precision/Manufacturing Engineering
• Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferably with CAAS Air Legislation Paper L11 or L12 or C14
• Knowledge of flaws and defects
• Ability to comprehend blue print
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
• A team player
