Job summary

GE Aerospace Singapore's Engine Services division is seeking an experienced NDT technician to perform calibrations and a range of non-destructive tests. You will read and follow operation sheets, prepare parts for inspection, and operate XR/UT lines to evaluate components for acceptance or rejection.

The role requires strong NDT knowledge, ability to interpret English SOPs, and a commitment to maintaining equipment readiness and regulatory compliance across audits and inspections.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in NDT across inspection methods is required.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs in English.
• CAAS NDT certification is preferred for advanced inspection work.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, NDT and evaluations for acceptance or rejection of parts.
• Interpret inspection operation sheets and work instructions correctly.
• Prepare, sort and stage parts for NDT inspection.
• Load, unload and operate XR, UT or automated NDT lines efficiently.
• Conduct X-Ray, Ultrasonic, Fluorescent Penetrant, Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle inspections as required.
• Ensure equipment readiness and assist engineers with inspections and reporting.
• Maintain and audit NDT processes to meet regulatory requirements and keep documentation up to date.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping of testing equipment.
• Prepare and clean parts before/after inspection.

Role Overview

• Perform specific calibrations, NDT and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection of parts

• Correct interpretation and understand the inspection operation sheets and work instruction

• Organize, sort and prepare the parts for NDT inspection

• Load, unload and operate either the real-time XR, UT or auto FPI line effectively

• Perform either X-Ray Inspection, Ultrasonic Inspection, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Eddy Current Inspection, Magnetic Particles Inspection in accordance with the inspection operation sheets

• Ensure the equipment operation readiness always

• Assist the Engineer for any inspection evaluation and reporting

• Upkeep of process system and testing equipment to ensure its continuous operations in compliance to approved documents

• Prepare and clean parts before and/or after inspection.

• Conduct audits in NDT area to ensure continuous system compliance to meet regulatory agencies requirements

• Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks

The Ideal Candidate

• Prior experience in NDT

Required Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 5 years’ experience in Quality Inspection; or

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 2 years’ of NDT experience; or

• Diploma holders in Aircraft Maintenance/Aerospace Engineering; or

• Preferably CAAS Approval in NDT certification

• Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in NDT per NAS 410 standard in any of the following methods: NDT –PT/ NDT – X-Ray/ NDT – UT /NDT – ECI /NDT – MPI

• Knowledge in NDT per ASNT Level I, II or III in any of the following methods: NDT – X-Ray/ NDT – UT/ NDT – ECI/ NDT – MPI
