Job summary

GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented quality inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished engine components. The role ensures parts meet specifications, maintains work clearance, and prevents non-conforming items from advancing in the line.

You will support Manufacturing Engineers and Quality System Engineers, collect inspection data, and maintain area management.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Precision/Manufacturing Engineering required.
• Able to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs in English.
• Preferred: CAAS Air Legislation Paper L11/L12 or C14.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of parts meet specification requirements.
• Ensure proper work clearance, correctness and completeness.
• Prevent non-conforming parts from proceeding to the next work station.
• Support Manufacturing Engineers and Quality System Engineers for evaluations/audits.
• Collect data/feedback on the quality of inspected parts to engineers.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections and manage the parts area.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

Role Overview:

• Ensure quality of parts meet specification requirements
• Ensure proper work clearance, correctness and completeness
• Prevent non-conforming parts from proceeding to the next work station
• Provide support to Manufacturing Engineers and Quality System Engineers for evaluations, audits related activities
• Collect data, feedback on the quality of parts inspected to the Manufacturing Engineers and Quality System Engineers
• Perform visual & dimensional inspections, and set area management of the parts
• Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks

The Ideal Candidate:

• QC experience in repair of aircraft engine components
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Precision/Manufacturing Engineering
• Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferably with CAAS Air Legislation Paper L11 or L12 or C14
• Knowledge of flaws and defects
• Ability to comprehend blue print
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
• A team player
