Job summary

SALT Talent Search is seeking a Compliance and Regulatory Associate for a 12 months extendable contract role, based in Singapore. You will identify, assess, and coordinate approvals to establish and operate facilities, including licenses, permits, and safety clearances, while staying current with jurisdictional requirements.

• Strong project management skills to handle multiple workstreams across countries/jurisdictions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with regulators/public authorities and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in regulatory affairs, construction compliance, legal operations, or permit management.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and manage approvals to establish and operate facilities, including planning permissions, building and occupancy approvals, business licenses, environmental permits, fire safety approvals, signage permits, and other local operating authorizations.
• Monitor national, regional, and local regulations affecting warehouse and fulfillment operations.
• Proactively map permit requirements for upcoming sites and develop compliance timelines aligned with construction, readiness, and go-live milestones.
• Coordinate with external consultants, legal counsel, and local authorities to support approvals and resolve regulatory issues efficiently.
• Maintain a centralized tracker for active and planned applications, including submission status, renewal dates, dependencies, and ownership.

• Monitor relevant national, regional, and local regulations affecting warehouse and fulfillment operations, reflecting the source JD’s emphasis on staying current with jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements
• Proactively map permit requirements for upcoming sites and develop compliance timelines aligned with construction, readiness, and go-live milestones.
• Coordinate with external consultants, legal counsel, and local authorities to support approvals and resolve regulatory issues efficiently
• Maintain a centralized tracker for active and planned applications, including submission status, renewal dates, dependencies, and ownership

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams across countries and jurisdictions.
