HDR is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services team. You will manage commissioning activities across mission critical projects, develop plans, and provide technical advice to clients.

The role requires hands-on experience with equipment inspections, factory tests, and close collaboration with contractors. A degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and a proactive, quality-driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage commissioning process and project schedules.
• Review drawings, manuals and submittals for commissioning.
• Develop commissioning plans, reports, checklists and test scripts.
• Provide technical advice on project risk to clients.
• Coordinate commissioning strategies with general contractor teams.
• Record meetings, progress and test results.
• Prepare final close-out reports and arrange third-party sign-offs.

The Role

HDR is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services (BES) team. This position will be working on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

• Manage the commissioning process:
• Undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals and technical submittals.
• Developing commissioning implementation plan, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts.
• Providing technical advice to clients in respect of project and operational risk.
• Working closely with general contractor’s team in developing commissioning strategies and processes which align fully with project objectives.
• Managing attendance and reporting of factory tests.
• Undertaking and reporting of inspections and tests.
• Attending project and internal meetings as needed.
• Managing detailed recording of meetings.
• Recording of detailed progress pre-requisites.
• Routine population and management of data in project commissioning software.
• Providing routine progress reporting and final project close out report.
• Arranging third party sign off as necessary.
• Review and development of Commissioning documentation.
• Reviewing technical papers/reports before publication.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in commissioning or facility engineering, ideally working within the Mission Critical (Data Centre) sectors
• Experience conducting equipment inspection, Factory Witness Tests, and Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• You are committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
• You are proactive, organised and ready to take ownership of commissioning outcomes on complex projects
• Appreciates teamwork and good interpersonal skills
• Singaporean or PR

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from recognized education institutions
• Green Mark AP, LEED AP, CSA or LEED Associate – advantageous.
