Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer in Singapore to lead commissioning across data centre projects. You will assess schedules, drawings and submittals, develop testing scripts, and provide technical risk guidance to clients.

• Experience with equipment inspections, Factory Witness Tests, and Factory Acceptance Tests.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commissioning process: assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals and submittals.
• Develop commissioning implementation plans, schedules, reports, checklists and test scripts.
• Provide technical advice to clients regarding project and operational risk.
• Collaborate with the general contractor’s team to align commissioning strategies with project objectives.
• Manage attendance and reporting of factory tests.
• Undertake and report inspections and tests.
• Attend project and internal meetings as needed.
• Record detailed progress prerequisites and minutes.
• Maintain data in project commissioning software and provide progress reports and final close-out.
• Arrange third-party sign-off as necessary.

The Role

HDR is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services (BES) team.This position will be working on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

In this role we will count on you to:

• Manage the commissioning process:
  • Undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals and technical submittals.
  • Developing commissioning implementation plan, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts.
  • Providing technical advice to clients in respect of project and operational risk.
  • Working closely with general contractor’s team in developing commissioning strategies and processes which align fully with project objectives.
  • Managing attendance and reporting of factory tests.
  • Undertaking and reporting of inspections and tests.
  • Attending project and internal meetings as needed.
  • Managing detailed recording of meetings.
  • Recording of detailed progress pre-requisites.
  • Routine population and management of data in project commissioning software.
  • Providing routine progress reporting and final project close out report.
  • Arranging third party sign off as necessary.
• Review and development of Commissioning documentation.
• Reviewing technical papers/reports before publication.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in commissioning or facility engineering, ideally working within the Mission Critical (Data Centre) sectors
• Experience conducting equipment inspection, Factory Witness Tests, and Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• You are committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
• You are proactive, organised and ready to take ownership of commissioning outcomes on complex projects
• Appreciates teamwork and good interpersonal skills
• Singaporean or PR

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from recognized education institutions
• Green Mark AP, LEED AP, CSA or LEED Associate – advantageous.
