As a Commercial Account Executive, you'll play a key role in expanding Gong's footprint within the commercial market in Australia and SEA, owning the full sales cycle from lead to close. You'll bring strong B2B sales fundamentals and a self-starter mindset, moving quickly to build pipeline, create urgency, and close new business across a high-volume territory. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on velocity, enjoys the hunt of self-sourced prospecting, and wants to grow into larger, more strategic deals as they ramp.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth across a high-volume commercial territory, managing prospects from lead generation to closing, while positioning yourself as a trusted, consultative advisor; build strong relationships with customers to understand their business goals and objectives
• Prioritize and manage a broad book of prospects and accounts, quickly identifying key decision-makers, buying processes, and revenue opportunities to keep a healthy, fast-moving pipeline
• Effectively communicate Gong's value proposition to potential customers, generating excitement and enthusiasm about our solutions
• Continuously refine outbound messaging and prospecting motions to drive a strong share of new opportunities through self-sourced activity
• Engage and educate business and sales leaders on the value of Revenue Intelligence, positioning Gong as the clear leader in this emerging category
• Partner with Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales Engineering teams to execute effective outbound strategies and uncover value across prospect organizations
• Maintain an accurate weekly forecast and consistently deliver against quarterly quota

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant closing experience for Commercial (or equivalent) sales
• Track record of overachieving sales targets (President's Club, Rep of the Year, or similar)
• Previous SaaS and enterprise software experience
• Previous outbound prospecting experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; startup experience a plus
• Comfortable selling to VPs, C-suite executives, and sales leaders, navigating multiple decision-makers within an organization

• Experienced in selling transformation/visionary solutions, especially where there isn't an obvious budget (demand creation vs. fulfillment)
• Comfortable leading technical presentation/demos and owning the full customer lifecycle from prospect to close, including driving and overachieving self-sourced pipeline generation targets
• Coachable and receptive to feedback, and quick to put it into practice
• Comfortable operating against high-volume KPIs and activity metrics day in and day out
• A builder mindset — motivated to create structure and process rather than just follow an existing playbook
